A quick update regarding the burnt-out car left in the “bunny patch” just beyond the National Trust Car Park New Road Limpsfield Common.

The vehicle appeared on the evening of Saturday 18 April, and we are not yet certain how or why it came to be there. If anyone has any information, please contact the police quoting reference SYP-20260419-0135.

Due to necessary procedures involving the police, fire service and insurers, removal will take some time. The situation is further complicated as the car is foreign registered.

In the meantime, please be patient and do not approach the vehicle, which has been safely cordoned off.
