A little reminder of our Annual Public Meeting, taking place this coming Saturday, 27th September 2025, at St Andrew’s Hall, from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

At the meeting, we’ll share updates from committee members, present highlights from the past year, and outline our plans for the year ahead.

We will also be introducing you to our new Ranger.

This is a great opportunity for the local community to:

  • Learn more about Limpsfield Common and the work we do
  • Ask questions and offer suggestions
  • Meet members of the Local (National Trust) Committee, National Trust representatives, and our fantastic volunteers
  • Find out how you can get involved

From Friday,  18  July to Sunday,  10  August  2025, Butterfly Conservation’s Big  Butterfly  Count will once again turn tens of thousands of nature‑lovers into citizen‑scientists. By spending just 15 minutes counting butterflies (and day‑flying moths) on your favourite heath, common, woodland glade – or even in your own garden – you’ll create a vital snapshot of how these insects are faring across the UK.

The sun’s out and we’re looking forward to a sunny Surrey Day today at the Air Raid Shelters!

Bring cash donation – every bit helps to maintain the shelters.

Walk if you’re local or park at the NT car parks – Grub Street, New Road, or Brick Kiln Lane.

The Legion will also be open having a Surrey Day /VE Day party (from 2PM, open to everyone, including non-members – live music, food & drink) and the Limpsfield 4th X1 are playing cricket, so it will be busy up at Grub Street!!

Enjoy the day, celebrate all that’s amazing about Surrey and be grateful to all those who served and lived through WW2.

Thank you too to our amazing volunteers on the Taskforce who help to keep the Air Raid Shelters and the rest of Limpsfield Common in tip top condition all year round.

Air Raid Shelter Podcast Part 1 – BBC Radio Surrey

Our wonderful Air Raid Warden, Rob Davey, takes Lewis Mason into the shelters to talk about what it was like in wartime Limpsfield for local children…

Change of time for upcoming Ranger Walk

🍄 May 3 – Ridlands Grove | Ancient woodland & biodiversity – The planned Ranger Walk this Saturday 3rd May at Ridlands Grove will now take place from 10-11AM instead of 2-3PM. Please meet in the Ridlands Grove Car Park at 10AM.
