Listen to the NT Surrey Hills podcast on Limpsfield Common with Ranger Conor

Last summer, Jo Dyson from the National Trust Surrey Hills podcast team came to Limpsfield Common to meet with Conor McNeil to record an episode of her brilliant series called “Walk with a Ranger”, which takes a walk around the different National Trust areas of the Surrey Hills.

The episode gave Conor the opportunity to tell Jo all about our wonderful Limpsfield Common; its history, wildlife, the famous BBC Nightingale broadcast, and the common’s links to WW2, as well as the conservation projects the National Trust and Taskforce are undertaking, including the important work at Yalden Spring.

The series also includes an interview with Ranger Merry on Oxted Downs, which talks about the work carried out on this rare chalk grassland, that supports so many species of flora and fauna, contending with the pollutants from the traffic of the nearby M25.

Thanks very much to Jo and the National Trust for coming to see us!
