We are aware of the anti-social behaviour that goes on in and around some of the National Trust car parks over the Limpsfield Common / Chart area – predominantly Moorhouse and Scearn Bank, but increasingly in other car parks too. We are working closely with police, who are now patrolling the car parks on a regular basis.
Activity has been going on for some time, but has increased and spread to other sites in the last couple of years. These “activities” are not appropriate for our family friendly area.
We are therefore working closely with the police and a unit has been assigned to patrolling these car parks regularly on an ongoing basis to establish the extent of the issue. There is also CCTV in some car parks.
If you witness any anti-social behaviour, whether or not you believe it to be an offence, please do not approach people yourself, but you may note down details, such as a number plate if relevant, and report it to the police via telephone on 101 or via their online reporting.
You can also alert the local team via direct message at Tandridge Beat on Facebook.
Some may be prosecutable offences, some not, but the police encourage all incidents or potential offences to be reported in order to enable them to build a bigger picture of what is going on and help to build a case against offenders.
